The Loebs had occupied their mid-century post and beam Pacific Palisades home for many years before deciding on a whole-house redo. They and their wonder-dog, Java, moved around the corner for six months while the house was essentially gutted and completely redone: all new HVAC, plumbing, electrical, windows, and doors, as well as reconfigured baths, powder room, and kitchen with updated cabinets and rich stonework. The only thing we couldn't improve upon was the view.
